Upacara Melaspas esensial bagi umat Hindu Bali sebelum buka usaha baru atau renovasi, untuk netralkan energi negatif bhuta kala dan seimbangkan positif agar bangunan layak huni. Ritual ini memohon Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa untuk keselamatan, kelancaran, dan harmoni lingkungan.
Prosesi bertahap: mecaru (sesajen bhuta kala), tanam orti mudra di empat penjuru, pasang ulap-ulap, otonan (pembersihan), hingga pangurip-urip dengan arang bunga simbol Tri Murti (Brahma-Wisnu-Siwa). Pemangku pimpin doa dan tabur tirtha.
Dilakukan segera setelah selesai bangun, Melaspas cegah sial dan undang rezeki; contoh untuk warung, kantor, atau pabrik.
